On February 15, 2017 from 9:45 to 10:45 Stetson Baptist Christian School will present a special Love Chapel. When I first heard about it, I thought it was very strange for a school to host a wedding! But the more I’ve learned about this special event, the more I know that it will touch your heart and I’m convinced you don’t want to miss it.
Here are three very simple reasons why you need to mark your calendar today:
- The theme of the chapel service is the love Jesus has for us. I don’t know about you, but I need to hear that over and over. In a society that wants us to believe in materialism and that everyone is out for themselves, it is refreshing to know that Jesus loves us unconditionally. Sometimes it’s almost impossible for me to comprehend that! I don’t deserve it…you don’t deserve it. But that’s grace and that’s what Jesus is all about. Maybe you’ve never experienced a love like that…so maybe you should check us out
- The chapel service is also an opportunity for us to express our love for Jesus. Psalm 9:1 says I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart: I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. Through His love, Jesus blesses us in so many ways and this is our chance to respond with song, prayer and fellowship.
- The chapel service will be led by children. It’s a simple fact that kids are the best at telling us how they really feel through their innocence and faith. At the service, each grade level will participate through song, poem, skit, recitation and video. What better way to learn more about true love than through the eyes of a child?
The service has been so special in the past, we’ve decided to open it up to the public! So, this year instead of “looking for love in all the wrong places,” invite a friend and take an hour to celebrate the joy of children and Jesus’ love.
